Overview
See India’s famous sights, but also experience the India behind them. The Golden Triangle introduces you to three of India’s most important destinations: Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. Rajasthan then adds another layer of history, architecture, desert landscapes and royal culture.
Our Golden Triangle and Rajasthan Tour Packages combine these three cities with the other magnificent cities of Rajasthan. You can continue to Jodhpur for its imposing Mehrangarh Fort, Udaipur for its lakes and palaces, and Jaisalmer for its living fort and Thar Desert experiences. Rajasthan Tourism also highlights Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur and Jaisalmer among the state’s major destinations.
A typical 11-night/12-day route can begin in Delhi and finish in Udaipur or Delhi. The route is not fixed. If you have fewer days, we can focus on Jaipur and two Rajasthan cities. If you have more time, destinations such as Pushkar, Ranthambore or Bikaner can be added.

Important Histories Before Realising the Beauty
All of Rajasthan’s cities are of timeless beauty, traditional art and culture, captivating monumental built and extremely rich in their histories. The cities today have formed after having undergone the reign of multiple kings, conquerors and love stories.
Jaipur: The Pink City
Jaipur is the natural bridge between the Golden Triangle and deeper Rajasthan. Founded in the 18th century by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the city became known for its planned streets, distinctive architecture and royal heritage.
Amber Fort, City Palace, Hawa Mahal and Jantar Mantar reveal different sides of Jaipur’s past. The city is also famous for jewellery, textiles, handicrafts and traditional cuisine. Visitors can spend the morning exploring a fort and the afternoon tasting local food or browsing traditional markets.
Jodhpur: The Blue City of Marwar
Jodhpur is the second largest city of Rajasthan and grew as an important centre of the former Marwar kingdom. Its most recognisable landmark is Mehrangarh Fort, which rises above the old city. Inside the fort, visitors can see royal rooms, courtyards, collections and intricate architectural details. Below it, the old city is famous for blue-painted houses and narrow streets. Jaswant Thada and Umaid Bhawan Palace are other important sights.
Udaipur: Lakes, Palaces and Mewar Heritage
The city of Udaipur was founded in the 16th century by Maharana Udai Singh II and became the capital of the Mewar kingdom. Today, Lake Pichola, City Palace, Jag Mandir and the surrounding Aravalli landscape give Udaipur its distinctive character.
A sunset beside the lake or a private boat ride can be a memorable way to finish a day of sightseeing.
Jaisalmer: The Golden City and Gateway to the Thar
Built around the historic Jaisalmer Fort, the city of Jaisalmer rises from the desert in golden sandstone. The fort remains a living part of the city, with homes, shops and temples inside its walls. Patwon Ki Haveli, Gadisar Lake and Bada Bagh add further historical interest. Travelers can also extend their visit towards the Thar Desert for a camel experience, sunset or desert camp.
Bikaner: Forts, Havelis and Desert Heritage
Bikaner offers a quieter alternative to some of Rajasthan’s busier tourist centres. The city was founded by Rao Bika and developed as an important trading centre on desert routes. Junagarh Fort is its major historical attraction, while old havelis reveal the wealth and craftsmanship of the merchant families who once lived here.

Pre-Tour Advice
Comfortable Clothing
Rajasthan involves walking through forts, palaces and old-city streets. Light, breathable clothing is useful, especially outside the cooler winter months. However, winter mornings and evenings can be surprisingly cool. A jacket or shawl is useful between November and February.
Monument Rules and Dressing
Do not touch fragile structures, carvings or artwork. Follow instructions from guides and monument authorities. When visiting temples and religious places, shoulders and knees should generally be covered. Carry a scarf or light covering if needed.
Sun Prep and Footwear Guide
Sunglasses, sunscreen and a hat are useful during outdoor sightseeing. Comfortable shoes are much more practical than formal footwear when exploring forts and historic sites.
Season
Rajasthan is generally most comfortable for extensive sightseeing during the cooler months. Rajasthan Tourism describes the state as spanning the Aravalli ranges and the Thar Desert, so temperatures can vary significantly by location and season.
Hydration and Diet
Besides being provided by us, make sure to carry water during sightseeing and take regular breaks, particularly in warmer weather. Moreover, if you have vegetarian, vegan, allergy-related or other food requirements, let us know before the trip if you choose the meal-inclusion package.
